![]() ![]() I've fitted the toggle switch in the back of the sunglasses box and the 3.5mm socket next to it. ![]() That probably doesn't make much sense but i'll try and do a bit of a diagram tomorrow if anyone is interested. Plug the socket in the back of the HU, plug the plug into the original CD changer plug. Take the other 4 pins from the IDC plug to the 4PDT switch (in his PDF he labels these 4 wires as "To IPOD/MP3"), wire them up as one side of the plug, wire the 3.5mm socket to the other side and solder 4 wires from the middle row of the switch back up to the IDC socket. Use a short bit of the cable to join the IDC socket pins 3,4,5,8,9 and 10 to the corresponding pins on the plug. The guide is by a guy called GTRaptor, it's easy to find via google.īasically you need to get a 5x2 IDC socket, a 5x2 IDC plug, some wire (i got some 10 way ribbon wire from RS), a 3.5mm socket and a 4PDT toggle switch (got mine from ebay for about £3). ![]() Not sure if you can link to other forums so i wont.but I made a cable to give me aux input and CD input on my 1999 318i, business tape deck with multichanger in the boot. ![]()
